While we’re excited to start seeing patients again, we want to ensure that the health and safety of our patients and staff are top priority. We have put in place several policies clinic wide, as well as for surgical patient appointments so that they can be reviewed before the day of the appointment. Please read through the below documents, and let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Clinic Policies

In order to resume seeing patients in the office we have implemented the following clinic structure based on input from the CDC and Oregon state guidelines.

Please make sure to confirm all appointments via our texting reminder system.  Don’t forget to let us know if you cannot make it.

Please let us know if, in the past 2 weeks, you have had:  any contact with a COVID 19 positive patient or any personal history of a sore throat, cough, fever, shortness of breath, lack of taste, lack of smell.  If so, we will need to postpone the visit.  We will be asking this before your arrival as well as at the door.

We will take a no-touch temperature upon arrival.  If the temp is over 99 we will need to postpone.

Call our main number, 503.692.7222, to let us know you have arrived.  Stay in your car.  We will then call/text you when it is time to come in.

Prior to all clinic visits all surfaces will be disinfected with appropriate virus/bacteria killing solutions.  This includes door handles, tables, beds, sinks, drawer handles, etc.  This will also be done in between all individual clinic visits.

Patients are required to use a facemask at all times in the office.  All employees and providers will also be wearing masks full time.  PLEASE BRING IN YOUR OWN MASK.  We have a very limited supply that we can offer if needed.

We will have hand sanitizer throughout all aspects of the office.  All employees, providers and other staff, along with patients, will be required to use these frequently and before/during/after any patient contact.

We will not have patients waiting in the waiting room.  When you come in (front door) we will escort you directly into the appropriate clinic/treatment room.

We will be disinfecting all aspects of the front desk zone.  Upon check out you will be given a sterilized pen to use if needed and we will wipe down the counter and any surfaces before and after each patient interaction.

We will schedule the followup visit before you leave unless you would like to call us after leaving the office.

If at all possible, please arrive to the office alone.  Any additional people should, ideally, wait in the car or outside.  Kids are allowed, but ideally they would also stay outside of the office.

We have removed all magazines and snacks in order to limit exposure.

We have installed exposure mitigation screens at the front desk.

Surgery Policies

In order to resume seeing patients in the office we have implemented the following surgery structure based on input from the CDC and Oregon state guidelines.

We will arrange for you to obtain a COVID 19 nasal swab test approximately 3 days before surgery.  This will be through the Legacy system.  They are currently not charging for the test.  However, that may change.  Insurance may cover it.  Cash pay runs appx $100-$200 which will be paid directly to the lab by the patient.  We can only proceed with a negative swab test.

We will take a no-touch temperature upon arrival.  If the temp is over 99 we will need to postpone.

If your arrival time is 8am please proceed to the surgery entrance.  If your scheduled arrival time is after 8am please park in the lot and call our main number, 503.692.7222, to let us know you have arrived.  Stay in your car.  We will then call/text you when it is time to come in.

Prior to all procedures the entire operating room and preop/recovery zones all surfaces will be disinfected with appropriate virus/bacteria killing solutions.

We will avoid having two patients in the preop/postop areas by extending the time in between patients.

In order to limit traffic please arrive with only one other person (driver).  Your driver should then leave the office (rather than waiting) once we get checked in.  We will then call the driver when we are ready for pickup.

Both you and your driver should have masks.  PLEASE BRING IN YOUR OWN MASK.  We have a very limited supply of masks that are not used in surgery that we can offer if needed.  All employees and providers will also be wearing masks full time.

We will have hand sanitizer throughout all aspects of the office.  All employees, providers and other staff, along with patients, will be required to use these frequently and before/during/after any patient contact.
